This is the weekend after PRIDE!  The Adventure Group is inviting all PFR members to their annual picnic...

All Welcome!

Portland’s Adventure Group has two annual Summer events and we would like your members to join us.  We’d appreciate it if you could spread the word within your gay / lesbian outdoor activity group.  The more the merrier!

AG Members (and Guests) BBQ Summer Potluck Picnic

Saturday, June 26  11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Laurelhurst Park    SE Ankeny & SE 39th

The picnic will be in Laurelhurst Park near the pond, from the Ankeny St. entrance, one block south of the intersection of NE 39th and E. Burnside.  It’s sun, fun, picnic games, and food.  We provide the main dish of burgers (beef, turkey and veggie) and water and sodas.  Members and guests are asked to bring a side dish or dessert.  Mingle with our gay and lesbian members, and other Portland and greater Pacific Northwest gay and lesbian outdoor adventurers (we have invited our out-of-town friends in Oregon, Seattle, and Vancouver, BC.)  Come one, come all!  (RSVP encouraged for meal planning purposes:  ag.potlucks@yahoo.com)

AG Wild OUTdoor Weekend (WOW!)

Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 4 and 5 (on Labor Day Weekend)

Throughout Portland / Vancouver Area  -  Day and Night!

Our annual final blast to Summer – we party and play throughout the weekend.  The specific details are still being finalized, but there will one or more activities of interest to your members, and we’d LOVE to have them join us.

Saturday’s hike on Mt. Hood to McNeil Point will be a high point (literally), but we’ll also cruise the Willamette River on Sunday.  There will be other events, such as kayaking, urban walk, bike ride,  -- more than enough to enjoy the outdoors in and surrounding the Portland / Vancouver area.  But that’s not all – evening potluck parties Saturday and Sunday will keep the fun going.   (RSVP encouraged for event attendance and potluck planning purposes:  ag.potlucks@yahoo.com)

Some Adventure Group members open their homes and offer a spare bed / bedroom for persons visiting from out of the area in need of a place to stay while enjoying the weekend activities  Lodging arrangements are made directly between visitor and AG member. Information on places available and those wanting a place to stay in Portland will be available at the AG website and coordinated  by the AG Membership Coordinator: ag.membership@yahoo.com.

Check out our web calendar on our website (www.adventuregroup.org) for updates and other events these weekends as we firm them up.  I know these events will be of interest to your members and we’d love to have them join us -- WOW!
